One of the objectives of the Athy regeneration strategy is to generate employment in the town. The IDA and other support organisations have advised that identifying the skills available in Athy and communicating these is a key requirement for employers to consider Athy as a location for establishing a new business, relocating an existing business or perhaps opening a regional office.
The most recent available statistics indicate that 44% of the working population living in Athy commute to work areas outside the town. We would like to gather some information from these people to help us to achieve our objective and generate employment in Athy.
