Watch: Anna Kendrick Recalls 'Rapid Fire' Firsts

Anna Kendrick is a very busy woman these days. Not only does she star opposite Ben Affleck in the new action thriller The Accountant, but early next month she and Justin Timberlake hit the big screen in Trolls, an animated flick about the colorful kitschy dolls.

And then on Nov. 15, comes the release of her first book Scrappy Little Nobody.

So what better time than now to take a trip down memory lane with Ms. Kendrick?

E! News asked Kendrick to tell us about some of her firsts when we caught up with her recently while she was promoting The Accountant at Oceana restaurant in New York City.

"My first audition was for Annie—both like when I was five years old and auditioning for community theater and my professional audition when I was 10 years old was for the Broadway revival of Annie," she said. "I did not get the jobs."

Luckily, she kept on keeping on. Kendrick's first professional acting job was High Society on Broadway when she was 12. She even earned a Tony nomination for work in the musical.

And then there was her first on-screen smooch in Rocket Science when she was 19. "I kissed a boy who was 15 or 16 so I felt pretty creepy," Kendrick said.

The Maine native moved to Hollywood when she was 17. She shared an apartment with a 27-year-old. "Her reaction was like, 'I'm not looking to babysit anyone,'" Kendrick, now 31, recalled of coming clean about her young age to her future roommate. "And I was like, 'Don't even worry about it, girl! I'm a professional.' And then I proceeded to do my best impression of a functioning adult—and I'm still doing it!"

And what did she wear on her first red carpet and what was it like hearing her Pitch Perfect hit single "Cups (When I'm Gone)" on the radio for the first time? Watch the video above to find out.

The Accountant is in theaters on Friday, Oct. 14.
