Watch: Tyler Hoechlin Becomes Superman for "Supergirl"

Today is just filled with super gifts!

Not only does Supergirl return tonight, making its debut on the CW and introducing us to Tyler Hoechlin's Superman, but we now also get a first look at Lynda Carter's appearance on the series.

Carter, who is obviously best known for having played Wonder Woman on TV from 1975 to 1979, will be playing President Olivia Marsdin in the third episode of Supergirl season two, titled "Welcome to Earth."

According to the official episode description, Supergirl herself (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO will be assigned to protect President Marsdin when she's attacked, just in time for National City to be debating alien vs. human rights.

CW

While Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the attacks, Kara will search for the escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood).

In these first look photos, Carter is looking very presidential—and also pretty fabulous if you ask us.

The addition of Carter and Hoechlin aren't Supergirl's only big changes for season two. The show debuted on CBS last season, but made the move over the summer to the CW to join the other DC superhero shows. Supergirl will even participate in a huge four-way crossover with The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow later this season.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on the CW, and Carter's first episode will air Oct. 24.
