BravoIn the grand Real Housewives tradition, The Real Housewives of New Jersey followed up its big Vermont blowout with a spinning wheels episode. The ladies—Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga, Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania—licked their wounds following the screaming fit at the sushi/chicken wing hybrid dinner in Vermont.
"I don't like to go over the f—king highlights of a war," Dolores said to Siggy while…talking about the highlights of the Vermont war.
You could see Siggy was deeply troubled by the events and wanted to make sure Jacqueline wasn't upset with her over the events of the dinner. In a way, it seemed like Siggy was making everything about her, even when Chris Laurita revealed Ashlee Holmes was pregnant, the way she screamed and yelled seemed for show. However, this episode makes clear that Siggy seems to really care about everybody involved, even the Giudices whom she just met.
Siggy seems like the type of friend you want in your corner—your biggest cheerleader. She owns her stuff. In the episode, she told Melissa she wouldn't be attending the Envy fashion show, but she would attend Jacqueline's popcorn event. Later, she came to her senses and agreed to attend Envy and the Little Kernel.
"She wasn't trained for this part of the zoo," Dolores said about Siggy dealing with the new feuds. "She was still in the petting zoo. She went to the ‘do not feed' section."
You need people like Siggy on these shows.
And while we're on the topic of the Vermont fight (let's be real, when won't we be on the topic of this Vermont fight for the rest of the season?), Jacqueline thinks Melissa doesn't want her close to Teresa. Melissa thinks Jacqueline doesn't want her to be close to Teresa. Are they both right? Do they both know the planet orbiting closest to the RHONJ sun gets the most warmth (screen time)?
Speaking of the sun, Teresa had relatively little episode story. She met with brother Joe Gorga and discussed who will take out her garbage and bitterness she doesn't feel toward Joe.
"No, no. I was mad that I got stuck with being involved. Yes, I should've made sure everything was correct on those papers…nothing was done intentionally…you trust the wrong people," Teresa said.
Jacqueline and Teresa went to the Posche fashion show and everybody's favorite Kim with a single initial for a last name appeared to stir up drama about Teresa and Joe's relationship yet again. Oh, Kim D. This was the least dramatic Posche fashion show ever.
Meanwhile, can we take a moment to discuss Melissa's store partner, Jackie? Jackie is doing her best wacky sitcom neighbor impression. Is she angling for a spinoff? A spinoff in the Bahamas? Stay tuned…But not really, she's just wacky.
