The Oregon Ducks have momentum carrying over from the 2016 season and are in the Top 10 for CBS Sports Preseason Top 25.

The College Basketball season is still a few months away, but things are heating up for teams around the country as the Preseason is set to get going in just a few weeks with Practice. The Oregon Ducks are fresh off a trip to Spain and will begin the 2016 season without Dillon Brooks, but the team certainly has enough experience to get through the Non-Conference slate without him.

CBS Sports recently released their Preseason Top 25 and have Oregon ranked at number 7. The Oregon Ducks are the highest ranked Pac-12 team in the poll with UCLA(11), Arizona(13), Cal(19), and Washington(22). There is not much of a surprise at the top of the poll with Duke at number one, followed by Kentucky, Kansas and Villanova.

I do find it a surprise that UCLA is ranked ahead of Arizona, but recruiting will sometimes do that. Oregon will have to perform well in the non-conference as the Pac-12 brings the Bruins to town in late December for a just before 2017 matchup that could set the tone for 2017. If Brooks is back in time, the Ducks will only benefit from him being on the floor.

The Oregon Ducks Non-Conference slate begins on November 11th against Army. The Ducks will welcome Northwest Christian on November 7th for an exhibition game.
