Cheridan Hawkins will return to College as a Pitching Coach following her first season as a Professional.

She was a power pitcher for the Oregon Ducks, took the team to Omaha twice and has gone through the gauntlet of her first season at the next level. Cheridan Hawkins even knows what it is like to be traded,. She made the move from the Dallas Charge to the Scrap Yard Dogs as the season came to a close last week.

The former Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year now returns to Coaching for the offseason. UC Riverside hired Hawkins to work with their pitching staff.

"Cheridan brings a tremendous amount of high-level experience and enthusiasm that will greatly benefit our pitching staff in the Big West this year. She is the perfect choice for our team, and I feel that she will be able to make an immediate impact on our program.UC Riverside Head Coach Nikki Palmer on Hawkins"

While in College at the University of Oregon, Cheridan Hawkins played for the US Junior and Senior teams and this past summer worked with the USA Elite Team.

Last season UC Riverside finished the season 32-22-1 and the team was just 8-13 in Conference play. The addition of Hawkins should help to improve that record in 2017.
