The Nintendo NX keeps drawing closer, even though Nintendo has yet to officially reveal the system. UK retailer Tesco may have given us some extra information about the upcoming system earlier today thanks to a now-removed listing for a "Nintendo NX Wii U" product. The product listing showed a December 31 launch date, which we know is a placeholder from Nintendo's own March 2017 window. The appearance of the page, however brief, has started the rumor mill for the upcoming console once again. This time, instead of speculating about what NX actually is, the rumors are claiming that we may be getting an NX reveal this week.
The listing originally showed a price tag of £349.99, or $454.16 US. Tesco has since removed the price tag before realizing their mistake and taking the page down all together, but not before people saw it and took screenshots. The NX system remains shrouded in mystery, though the president of The Pokémon Company may have confirmed a rumor from Eurogamer about the machine, stating that "the NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a handheld device."
Officially, all we know about the NX is that it's coming in March 2017. Even the system's launch lineup remains a rumor, though we'll be seeing just how accurate all these reports about the upcoming console are sooner or later. The NX is rumored to be revealed this week, supported in part by Tesco's slip up with the NX product listing. Whether the long awaited reveal actually happens this week remains to be seen.
Thanx Nintendo for forgetting to announce the NX
In the beginning they could start launching the home SoC for the west and the mobile SoC for the asiatic.
the home SoC with more ram and gpu power is something I could pay 349€ for, instead that price for the mobile really needs some incredible unveiled feature to make me pay all that money.
let's wait and see.
A 99€ entry mobile SoC for "android like" games, eshop and indies could be really another NX form they could test.
if confirmed 349€ price and hybrid is really thing then multiple NXos based devices could be a reality, they could release on different times ,on different markets part of all of them as the market demand raises.
