The UK's Daily Star had a sit down recently with analyst Michael Pachter to talk about Sony's upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro hardware. In that interview, Pachter started off by saying he was surprised Sony was launching the Pro hardware this year, but his comments after the fact are likely to annoy a certain sect of gamers. Specifically, Pachter took some shots at the PC community that will no doubt have a large target painted on his back.
In the interview, Pachter said he thinks PC gamers are "like racists," claiming they have "no interest in venturing out and mixing with other races." The other races he's talking about are undoubtedly consoles, but Pachter didn't stop there. He also said that PC gamers are "arrogant twits who are convinced what they do is better than what anybody else can possibly do" and that they wouldn't be tempted by the PS4 Pro. On the other hand, Pachter thinks Xbox gamers may be tempted to give the new PlayStation hardware a shot, saying it's a great opportunity for them.
Regardless of whether you play on other systems or not, being a PC gamer apparently makes you a racist, arrogant twit now. There are a number of comparisons that can be drawn with Pachter's sweeping generalization of PC gamers, but we're not going to make them here. PC gamers, just be nice and don't be too hard on our console playing brethren. We're all gamers in the end and we're all increasingly playing the same games as more and more titles become cross platform.
Also, how do you turn off news thread notifications? I'd like to be able to avoid getting them whenever someone posts a comment in one. Not looking forward to that when this inevitably blows up.

I kid, but seriously, while I get that they're possibly the most volatile demographic, it's pure shameless retardation to make such a generalisation. I don't give a shit what platform someone plays on, as long as they are satisfied with that.
Still, what a *bleep*ing hypocrite, I can only hope he was coked out of his mind when spewing this trash, at least then I can go "Ahh, makes sense". Not like there's no elitists for any other platform or he doesn't sound like one just by saying that.
Anyways Heartlesswithaheart if you're on desktop then you have to go into the notifications tab and then there's three options like "All", "Forum" and "News" or something similar. Just pick the forum one so you'll only get notified if someone directly responds to you in the news article.
To be fair, this is the case when it comes to PC vs. Console.
i will say, i do tend to see PC gamers leave little tiny sparks to lure console gamers into a fight, but equally console gamers should ignore this.
in short both sides are guilty of the same things...
PC, Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation all have them, and, on PC, software and hardware companies have them.
Even he has them.
However, not everyone is a fanatic.
That said...it is somewhat easy to see why PC fanatics act the way they do.
Consoles are basically just restricted computers with some exclusives, and, by the time they are halfway through to being replaced, there are usually emulators on PC for them, so the exclusives are basically just timed exclusives.
