Former Oregon Ducks Quarterback Marcus Mariota put together the perfect scoring drive in the final minutes against the Detroit Lions.

The season opener last weekend against Minnesota was a bevy of errors for Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans Offense. The team put it behind them and headed to Detroit to take on the Lions on Sunday. Tennessee did not start the game that way.

Detroit pulled off a safety on the Tennessee endzone to take an early 2-0 lead, but in the end, with just over a minute to go Mariota worked his magic. He completed a needed fourth down with 4th and 5 at the 9 yard line with a touchdown to win the game on the road 16-15. The road win brought the Titans to 1-1 on the young season.

Marcus Mariota was 25 for 33 with two touchdowns. DeMarco Murray was just shy of another 100 yard game with Tennessee as the team finally snapped a five game losing streak dating back to last December with their first victory of 2016.

The team returns home this week to welcome the Oakland Raiders before a two game road trip at the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins. Tennessee kicks off the game with the Raiders at Nissan Stadium on Sunday at 10am Pacific Time on CBS.
