Hesperia has a new project that is coming at the perfect time. A new senior 55+ apartment complex called the Villas is on its way to being built. The development is a 96-unit gated community located on Avenal Street. There will be a total of 4 two-story buildings with each building consisting of 24 units. The project will have both one bedroom and two-bedroom apartments available. The one-bedroom units will be approximately 629 square-feet and the two-bedroom units will be approximately 875 square-feet.
According to Lisa LeMere, the City Economic Development Management Analyst, the area’s population that is 55 years and older is close to 20 percent. The senior citizen community in Hesperia continues to grow, and for individuals looking for a low cost, low maintenance lifestyle, a senior apartment complex is an ideal community. This makes the new development perfect for the City of Hesperia, because it is planned for low to moderate income seniors. Senior living communities often provide amenities that help to make life easier and more enjoyable. Some of the amenities at the Villas will include a fitness center, clubhouse, dog park, lap pool and Jacuzzi, patio balconies, refrigerators, and individual washers and dryers. The cost of the entire Villas project will be around $13 million.
