Chloë Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham may no longer be lovebirds, but this magazine cover has couple written all over it.

As the cover girl for the October/November issue of Teen Vogue , on newsstands Sept. 27, Moretz appears on the front of the issue with her arms wrapped around a secret beau, who has his back turned to the camera. According to a source close to the magazine, that mystery man is her current ex-boyfriend. "Brooklyn Beckham was on set during Chloe's cover shoot, and appears in the cover image with her," the source told E! News.

While their behind-the-scenes romance is memorialized in this photograph, in real life, Beckham and Moretz have already called it quits. After dating through the summer, news of their unexpected split broke in early September, though neither have addressed their reported breakup and their reps have not returned E! News' requests for comment.

Still, Moretz's interview contains subtle red flags as the 19-year-old discussed the couple's struggle to find privacy.

"We'll go out and there will be 15 paparazzi and we're just going to a grocery store," she told former co-star Julianne Moore during their interview. "We are real people and we're having real emotional experiences, and all this is happening around us. Trying to keep ourselves in our own little world is difficult."

However, she did note that dating a man from a famous family gave them some common ground.

"Getting into a relationship with someone who also has lived some of their life between cities, from L.A. to New York to London, is easier. We both understand that there will be times when we can't speak because we are too busy. Some of it is just based on trust," she continued to the magazine. "If you feel that you can trust each other and go eight hours without talking, then you have something that can withstand space and time."

While their romance may not have ultimately withstood "space and time," it's clear from Moretz's remarks that she has a strong head on her shoulders.

"Just try to keep your head above the water and don't get caught up in all the trash," she concluded. "I think another thing that is really helpful for young women to understand is that you're enough. You don't need that dress, you don't need that compliment, you don't need that post on social media. You, within yourself, are enough."
