As Agent 47 is busy disposing of the orange marmalade used in tracking last weekend's elusive target, Square Enix and IO are busy putting together the physical disc collection. Announced in March, the episodic Hitman title will be getting a physical disc release after the first season wraps up. Staying true to the original January announcement, the release date for said disc has been confirmed for January 31, 2017. Console gamers will pay the standard $60 price, while PC gamers can walk away with Hitman's first season for $50.
Instead of just getting the game on its own, the physical editions include a steelbook case and all sorts of bonus content. All three platforms will get the prologue, three bonus missions, a documentary about the making of Hitman, the Requiem Blood Money pack, and the game's soundtrack. If you're a PlayStation 4 owner, you'll also get your hands on six extra Sarajevo Six missions. Digital players may have gotten the game first, but assassins who have been patiently waiting for the physical release appear to come out on top here.
IO and Square Enix confirmed via the Hitman Twitter account earlier this month that Agent 47's latest adventure is planned to span a total of three seasons. January's disc release is only season one, leaving plenty of potential targets wandering around for the next two. Season two hasn't been announced yet, so only time will tell whether the Hitman team's plans will come to fruition. Hitman's complete first season will be available on discs for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC gamers starting January 31, 2017.
