Wizards point guard John Wall is doing everything in his power to return to the court better than ever after undergoing surgery on both knees in May.

“It’s that late-night grind, man,” John Wall said Saturday in a video posted by Uninterrupted. “Five in the morning, man. I’m in the gym right here at the crib. I’m trying to be something special, man. This is just the beginning of the real John Wall era, man. The first six years was okay, but that wasn’t the real me. I’m putting in this work. I’m trying to get in the best shape I’ve ever been in in my life, rehabbing every day. That’s what it’s going to take to be great, man. You see this work, man. It’s five in the morning. This video ain’t fake, neither. … Watch out this year, man. Washington Wizards fans, be surprised, man. Look out for something special. Wiz Squad, you already know what time it is. Checking out, man, five in the morning, man. I’m getting it in. Real talk.”

It was the second bit of real talk that Wall posted via Uninterrupted’s Twitter account, which has 169,000 followers, in two days. On Friday afternoon, he used the platform to deny reports that he was upset with the contracts that James Harden and teammate Bradley Beal signed this summer. So what is Uninterrupted?

LeBron James and his business partner, Maverick Carter, launched Uninterrupted in December 2014 as a series of athlete testimonials produced by James’s production company and hosted on the Turner Sports-owned website Bleacher Report. Last December, it was announced that Warner Bros. and Turner Sports invested $15.8 million in the venture.

Bleacher Report describes Uninterrupted as “a breakthrough platform that provides athletes an unprecedented forum to provide uncensored, real-time perspectives on the topics they most want to address. Uninterrupted athletes communicate directly with fans, while providing rare behind-the-scenes video content that offers a peek into their lives.” Uninterrupted is similar to The Players’ Tribune founded by Derek Jeter, except the content is exclusively video.

James said the idea for Uninterrupted came to him after he announced he would return to the Cavaliers in July 2014 via a first-person essay in Sports Illustrated.

“We do the normal media bunch, but sometimes they only give you what they want people to hear,” James told Re/code in June 2015. “I talked to Maverick, I told him, ‘I want to give [my fans] the uncut, unedited version right then and there of what my thoughts are.'”

Earlier this month, James used Uninterrupted to announce that he would sign a new deal with the Cavs. Draymond Green, Rob Gronkowski and Tristan Thompson are among the athletes, in addition to Wall, to use the platform in recent days. “Now We’re Talking,” a sitcom about two former NFL quarterbacks who become broadcasters, is set to debut on Uninterrupted on Sept. 14.

Wall, who has shared the same agent as James since January, has previously posted videos to Uninterrupted from the White House Correspondents’ dinner and prior to his surgery.
