Oregon Ducks In MLB: Ryon Healy Leads Majors With 14 Game Hitting Streak
Ryon Healy has become a breakout Star for the Oakland Athletics and has been in the Majors for less than two months.

At the All-Star Break former Oregon Infielder Ron Healy took part in the Futures Game just before the Major League All-Star game. Little did we know then that in a few flips of the Calendar he would blossom into an All-Star for the Oakland A’s both on the field and with his bat for the second half of the 2016 season.
Healy faced and walked against one of the best in the game in Jonathan Broxton and has a 14 game hitting streak, which leads the Majors. He is hitting close to .300 with 6 home runs and 17 RBI’s. He is putting in the work and the team is seeing results, which is what you want from a mid-season call-up.
At 57-73 the Oakland A’s are out of the Playoff Race this season, but the experience at the big league level should propel Ryon Healy into next season.
Another former Oregon Duck, Tyler Anderson has played in 13 games with the Colorado Rockies and has an ERA of 3.69, the lowest for Rockies Starter in the history of the program, which is also a pretty impressive stat.

Healy and Oakland are in Houston on Monday while Anderson, who is set to pith on Wednesday, and the Rockies are hosting the Los Angeles Dodgers.
