How To See What Facebook Thinks Your Politics Are

From Popular Mechanics

Just in case you weren't sure, Facebook is really paying attention to you. With over 1 billion active users on Facebook daily, the company makes it a point to gather truckloads of information about each of them in order to target ads. If you're curious what it thinks of you, you can get the inside scoop and even see what Facebook thinks your political views are.

Start by opening the preferences page in your browser. Here you'll find all sorts of various "interests" that Facebook thinks you'd be into. Click the "Lifestyle and Culture" tab to see what kind of ads Facebook is throwing at you depending on what you have clicked on in the past. Even if you have never officially liked specific social issue's or a political party's page, Facebook takes a guess and decides for you.

If you feel that the website has the wrong impression-or just want to scrub its brain a bit-you have the ability to remove the topics you feel are inaccurate, but of course you're unable to completely remove the ads.

It's not entirely clear how this information affects your newsfeed exactly, but it's safe to say Facebook is definitely keeping tabs on you.
