On Wednesday morning, an ambulance was called from Oregon Practice and Okun was taken to the hospital for what is being called ‘Precautionary Reasons’. At the time we knew he was getting an MRI. He was seen walking around gingerly following Practice on Friday according to the Oregonian.

Zach Okun is a Redshirt Freshman and was previously a walk-on for Boise State. He is expected to be in the running for a Starting Guard position this season. He spent the better part of the day in the ER at Riverbend Hospital on Wednesday and his return to the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex was a welcomed one by Head Coach Mark Helfrich and his teammates.

Helfrich  praised the Oregon Medical Staff in covering ‘all the bases’. We stll don’t officially know what happened with Okun, but in seeing him at Practice and walking around, it is a good sign.
