Biggest athletic 'freaks' in the Pac-12

Every season I look forward to Bruce Feldman's list of the biggest athletic "freaks" in college football. In Feldman's own words, the list spotlights "those guys who are the top workout warriors in the sport or the guys who possess some rare physical abilities that wow folks inside their programs."

Four Pac-12 players made the 2016 list, including three in the top seven.

2. Devon Allen, Oregon WR: The only player ranked higher than Allen is Texas A&M linebacker Myles Garrett and you can certainly make the argument either way. Yes, Allen has punched his ticket to the Olympic Summer Games in Rio, but when you look at a guy like Garrett, you wonder how many sports he could excel in if he had the timeo. At 6-foot-5 and 262 pounds, "he power cleans 440 pounds and bench-presses 485 -- staggering when you consider he also has a 40-inch vertical and his fastest 40 time at A&M," Feldman wrote.

4. Adoree' Jackson, USC all-everything: No. 4 seems to be about the right spot for Jackson. He qualified for the NCAA track and field championships in long jump, but didn't win it (like Allen). He also sits on this list behind LSU running back Leonard Fournette, who is a definite athletic freak.

7. Takkarist McKinley, UCLA DE: Mora told Feldman that McKinley ran a 10.6 100-meter dash in high school and even though he has put on a lot of weight since high school, he still has that top-end speed.

20. Freddie Tagaloa, Arizona OL: One of two offensive linemen on the list. Feldman cites Tagaloa's 475-pound bench press as a reason for cracking the top 20. Not too shabby, indeed.

Make sure you check out the full list to get a good idea of the players who might be making the craziest plays this fall.
