Rio Prepares For The 'Outbreak' Of The Summer Olympics

The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are destined be memorable, but it’s almost certain to be for the wrong reasons.

The excitement of golf’s return to the Olympics has been muted thanks to fears of the Zika virus, which has caused at least 17 of the world’s top golfers to skip the tournament. Those that have decided to attend have opted to freeze their sperm ahead of the games.

Then there’s all the non-Zika health issues. Aquatic Olympians have been told to keep their mouths closed while swimming in Rio’s toxic waters, where they will “literally be swimming in human crap.” The Olympic Village is uninhabitable for many Olympians who arrived to find electrical and plumbing problems.

Oh, and because Rio’s economy is so bad and crime is so high, Olympians might just be kidnapped and held for ransom.

Cue “Bugler's Dream.”  Cartoon by Rob Tornoe.
