My six traveling companions went back up on the mountain yesterday. They rode their bikes, explored, and had fun while I walked, worked, walked, and worked some more. And ordered pizza from room service. And walked some more.

We reunited mid-day and decided to catch an evening movie together, and we snapped this selfie on our walk to the small theater. It perfectly captures the vibe with these six young men: happy, fun, no stress, everyone’s doing something different, smirks, chuckles, and good times.

I guess men can sometimes be a little complicated, I’ve heard? And okay…I guess women can be, too. (I happen to be one, so I know.)

But boys? The most uncomplicated souls on earth.

They explode in a fight, then five minutes later they’re high-fiving.
They laugh at things that aren’t even funny, which makes me laugh. This never stops, by the way.
Cranky? Just feed them.
Bored? Just throw them outside.
Dirty? They don’t care. (Though I do start to care after awhile.)
Gaseous? Just another thing for them to bond over!

This has been a fun trip with a unique dynamic, and I’m enjoying every moment.

(And keeping lots of windows open.)

Thank goodness for fresh mountain air!
