Lasers de São João, was the first of the Laserfield series. It was an immersive laser installation created in the city of Porto to commemorate the city’s patron, São João. The installation was presented from June 17th to 25th at General Humberto Delgado’s square, in front of the town hall.
Based on a site specific synchronic conjugation of haze, lasers and sound, the “Laser Field” event is a multi-sensory immersive experience. The haze is used to transform the beams of light in volumetric structures and three-dimensional graphic shapes; the sound amplifies this metamorphosis, dominating and wrapping the audience in a state of synesthesia.
