Nevermind that Allen currently is not preparing for Fall Camp with his other football team mates, but rather chasing another dream, a dream to represent the United States in the Rio Olympics. It was the College Football Playoff in 2014 and a game against Florida State where Devon Allen injured his ACL. He did play in 2015 with limited success.

Two years ago he posted the second fastest time in the 110 meter hurdles and worked his way back to earn back the National Title in 2016. NFL.com named Allen the Fastest in College Football, right behind him, Adoree’ Jackson, another dual sport player who also participates in Track and Field.

During his rehabilitation, Allen has spent his time at Hayward Field, and while there showing his speed in the 110 Meter Hurdles. He will compete again next week for a chance to compete for Olympic Gold and will then return to his football family with about 10 practices left before the opener against UC Davis.
