Bandai Namco has just released a trailer for the first round of DLC costumes for Tales of Berseria. Berseria stays true to its pirate theme by giving each of the main characters outfits worthy of a round of "Drunken Sailor," but the game also pays homage to its predecessors in the form of a unique set of beach costumes ranging from revealing swimsuits to fisherman's gear.
As always, the Tales developers and designers have created a lot of these costumes as fanservice. Some of them are elegant and majestic, such as Eizen's pirate captain costume, and others are made simply to show off the most skin, such as Magilou's pirate outfit and swimsuit. For the first time, however, it does appear that a few of the DLC costumes, specifically the characters' beach outfits, include alternate color schemes for those who like to change it up from time to time.
One thing is certain -- these are not the only DLC costumes that Bandai Namco has in store for us. The trailer features a prominent "No. 01" through its entire length, suggesting more DLC will be shown to us in the future. Tales of Berseria will launch on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC systems this August 18 in Japan and sometime in 2017 in North America.
