The Oregon Ducks Softball team after a rough start at Jane Sanders Stadium in the month of April with two losses against UCLA have put things together and appear in post season form reeling off 13 straight wins and moving up to number 3 in this week’s National polls. They will look to continue the momentum this weekend facing the California Golden Bears on the road. Cal comes in with an impressive streak of their own.

California has won nine of their last ten games. Pitcher Nisa Onteveros was named the ESPNW Player of the Week last week picking up four wins and striking out 48. Offensively, the Golden Bears are hitting at .309 while holding opponents to .254. Jazmyn Jackson leads the team hitting .399 and playing in all 48 games for Cal this season. She has 73 hits and has swiped 13 of 16 bases in 2016. On the other side it appears the Oregon Ducks are on a mission.

This is the final season for eight Oregon Ducks who appear to be making it count as they push the team toward the post season. Cheridan Hawkins has returned to form after a rough start at Jane Sanders Stadium. In the first game against UCLA she threw two innings and gave up seven runs. Her last appearance saw a shutout of Utah Valley on Wednesday in a 19-0 rout. If Oregon sweeps the weekend against Cal they will win the Pac-12 Conference Title with a week to go in the Pac-12 season before post season play begins.
