NBA Combine: Oregon Ducks Elgin Cook Makes Final Participant List

Elgin Cook will be the lone Oregon Ducks representative for the NBA Combine and will follow Joseph Young from last season, who is with the Indiana Pacers.

The Oregon Ducks made it to the Elite 8 in 2016 and Elgin Cook played a big part during his time with the Oregon Basketball team and he will have another opportunity to raise his NBA Draft Profile at the NBA Combine next week. The list was released last week, but Cook was the lone Oregon Duck to be participating. Gary Payton II from Oregon State also made the list.

Cook showed his durability starting all 38 games for the Oregon Ducks this season. He averaged 15.8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists per game finishing his career in Eugene 20th on the all-time scoring list with 1.259 points. According to GoDucks.com he is the first Oregon Duck to play in three NCAA Tournament games, an experience that should help him stand out in the NBA Combine.

Dillon Brooks was on the participation list as an alternate last week, but did not make the NBA Combine. Of note, four Kentucky Wildcats made the list. Brooks and teammate Tyler Dorsey are still considering his NBA Draft Option and has until May 25th to decide to return to Oregon for next season.

The NBA Combine will be held May 11th-15th in Chicago, Illinois.
