FINAL Report

The Annual Oregon Football Spring Game is an opportunity. An opportunity to see what Oregon has worked on during Spring Practice. An opportunity for the public to see who will step up and stand out for the upcoming season, and this year an opportunity to reflect back 100 years to the teams first Rose Bowl win in 1916 as the Webfoots.

It is the game, or scrimmage,  where special moments stand out. For example, take Marcus Mariota and an 80 yard run in the Spring Game to the Starting position at Quarterback that lasted for three straight seasons. There is reason to be excited on Saturday and it does surround a Quarterback among the things to watch.

Last season, Vernon Adams was not here for the Spring Game, he joined the team in Fall Camp. Dakota Prukop has been with the Oregon Ducks since Spring Classes started and has had a full month of Camp before taking the field on Saturday. He has had time to get acclimated with the Oregon Offense and to work on building chemistry on and off the field with his team mates. Prukop will look to become the next leader of this team and that begins with the Spring Game.

Of course there are other key areas to watch including the Oregon Defense under new Coordinator Brady Hoke, Offensively I’ll have my eye on Royce Freeman and the Wide Reciever Corps. There are some new additions in Spring camp including Quarterback Jeff Lockie. Our Spring Game Coverage begins at 10:30am Pacific Time.
