OPM announces cheaper gas cylinder prices

The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder will decrease by €0.50c as from tomorrow, selling at €14.50, the Office of the Prime Minister announced.

In a statement, the OPM said the price will remain stable over the coming months. “Consumers will be paying for the cheapest price recorded over the last five years.”

It added, that the government worked hard over the past three years to ensure price stability and avoid monthly changes in prices. This, the government said, also ensured better planning for families and businesses.

Energy now falls under the responsibility of the Office of the Prime Minister after Prime Minister Joseph Muscat took over the portfolio from minister Konrad Mizzi.
