InstagramAs we reported earlier, Instagram got a bit of a facelift on Tuesday, announcing its latest feature: the ability to post 60-second videos…and Selena Gomez was one of the first celebrities to show it off!
The 23-year-old singer posted a minute-long clip on her account, giving users a look at what goes on behind-the-scenes of making her music, even providing a sneak peek at some never-before-heard tunes.
In the video, she dons some casual attire with a white headband as we hear her say, "I'm trying to figure out what this Instagram thing is. Just keep goin', it's fine!"
The video then skips from her standing over her producer as he edits to her lip syncing and dancing along to what we're guessing is one of her forthcoming songs.
"What an amazing surprise of a day," someone exclaims in the background, to which Selena smiles and says, "I know!"
SelGo captioned the mini-movie, "So insta has 60 sec vids now... also new stuff coming," with an appropriate smirk emoji.
In a statement about the new feature, Instagram noted, "This one step of many you'll see this year."
The company continued, "In the last six months, the time people spent watching video increased by more than 40 percent. And longer videos mean more diverse stories from the accounts you love, whether it's Selena Gomez (@selenagomez) hanging out with friends or beauty star Bretman Rock's (@bretmanrock) latest makeup tutorial."
As seen in SelGo's video, the new feature will also allow users to make videos out of multiple clips again.
