Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball Looks For Fifth Straight Win vs Colorado

Oregon has reached a place following the win over Utah on Thursday that they have not been for a long time. It is the latest that the Ducks have been in contention, at one game over .500 this late in the season since 2004-2005. It is quite an accomplishment for a Head Coach, and a team in just the second full season under Kelly Graves. Jillian Alleyne has shown she is a consistent force with rebounds and points in the paint and Freshman Maite Cazorla has been a key player at the Point Guard position.
The Oregon Ducks lead the nation as a team from long range, hitting over 42 percent of their shots from downtown. Graves has his team on a four game winning streak at the perfect time in February to comtinue building momentum for the post season. The road has also helped with four straight road victories, including a big 17 point comeback in Washington last weekend. On Sunday the Ducks will play their annual Play For Kay game against Colorado, a team that is stuggling this season.
The Buffaloes have won just one game in the Pac-12 Conference and to be a good team you need to beat the teams you are better than. Colorado is one of those on the schedule for Graves and the Oregon Ducks. Cazorla is coming off a Pac-12 Player of the Week honor last week, her fourth this season and Jilian Alleyne is now the All-time leading double double leader for Oregon, surpassing Bev Smith on Friday in the win against Utah.

The Oregon Ducks have won 7 of 8 after an 0-5 Pac-12 start and have done it in impressive fashion – all by double digits. Sunday will be the Ducks second of four straight home games. Tipoff vs Colorado is set for 4pm Pacific Time from Matthew Knight Arena.
