Cannady's clutch 3s lead Columbia over Princeton in OT 88-83

AP

NEW YORK (AP) — Devin Cannady scored a career-high 23 points and hit two 3-pointers in the final 11 seconds of regulation to cap a nine-point comeback, and Princeton ended the overtime period on a 12-0 run to beat Columbia 88-83 on Saturday.

Columbia scored the first seven points in overtime to take an 83-76 lead, but Cannady's three-point play sparked the Tigers (16-5, 6-1 Ivy League) to a dozen points in two minutes and Princeton's fourth straight win and ninth in 10 games.

Grant Mullins made two free throws with 29 seconds left in regulation to put Columbia (17-8, 6-2) in front 73-68.

Cannady hit a jumper four seconds later to cut the deficit to three. After a free throw by Columbia, Cannady's second 3-pointer made it a one-point game. And after a layup by Columbia, Cannady hit his third 3-pointer, tying the game for the first time since 2-2.

Mullins and Maodo Lo each scored 19 points for the Lions.
