Andy Milner is currently managing director of Amey’s consulting and strategic infrastructure division and a member of the company’s executive committee.

Mel Ewell has led Amey through its 2003 takeover by Spain’s Ferrovial and its acquisition of Enterprise in 2013, seeing the company turnover grow from £600m to £2.5bn.

Andy Milner, a chartered civil engineer, joined Amey in 2006 following the acquisition of Owen Williams. Mel Ewell predicted that he would be “an outstanding CEO”.

Santiago Olivares, CEO of Ferrovial Services, said: “I want to thank Mel for his outstanding contribution to Ferrovial Services over a long number of years, as well as agreeing to continue our relationship and provide input and support beyond his retirement from Amey to support our growth ambitions.

“Andy’s appointment as CEO of Amey reflects the proven track record of success he has had as a key member of the both the Amey and Ferrovial Services executive boards as well as the unparalleled growth and success he has delivered for Amey’s consulting and strategic infrastructure division.”
