Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum, Scarsdale Village Judge Who Was Appointed to the Federal Bench, Dies at 86

Cedarbaum is the judge who sentenced Martha Stewart to prison for lying about stock sales.

A former Scarsdale village judge, who, as federal judge, sent Martha Stewart to prison, died Feb. 5 in Manhattan.

Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum was 86 when she died at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, according to the New York Times.

President Ronald Reagan appointed Cedarbaum to the federal bench in 1986.
