Dark Souls III is drawing ever closer. The game's due out in April pending any last minute issues that would cause a delay, which means From Software and Bandai Namco are teaming up to share more information and footage to get people on the hype train for the franchise's "big closure." Bandai Namco released the title's opening movie today, sharing our introduction to the kingdom of Lorthric.
Pilgrims headed to the north have discovered the truth of the Old Words. Lhorm the Giant and Aldrich Saint of the Deep have awoken. Farron's Undead Legion has awakened from eternal slumber. Those are just the dangeres in the trailer. Many more perils await in Lorthric as hearty adventurers prepare to die over and over again.
Dark Souls III will test how much you've learned from its predecessors when it releases on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 12. There are bragging rights at stake for whoever dies the least in their first run through the game, so now's a good time to replay the other Dark Souls titles to get ready for Dark Souls III.
No offense to Dark Souls II or anything, but this here looks like an actual sequel.
Looks freaking amazing!
From what we've heard about the self made bonfires... no bonfire will be no death or that would mean... restart at firelink shrine every time lol
