Vortex Doors

We should have read the reviews here before calling Vortex. Thankfully they blew it before we could agree to anything. We had our initial appointment (sometime before 2pm)... We got a call 10 mins after 2pm to let us know they weren't going to make it. They said they would make it up to us and show up based on our schedule the next morning at 8:45am. At 9am, no one was there so we called in. The gal who answered said the 'other' gal we spoke to was on the phone and that she'd call me back right after she was free, BUT she did say that we were scheduled first for the morning, but they wouldn't have promised to be there at 8:45am. Well, about 40 mins. later, no return phone call... we called in again and they said there was an emergency that took our "scheduled" technician away, but we were next. We kindly told them to cancel the appointment since this was the second no show... It was met with attitude. We explained that we could understand two no shows, but not the lack of courtesy to call to let us know. That was two days of taking time off of work. Very unfortunate experience.

Called Vortex to service a couple of our Automatic Roll-Up Doors. Shawn and Virgilio, came out to work on the problem, they installed a couple of external Receivers for the remotes. They were friendly and answered my questions respectfully.
I recommend Vortex for any commercial or residential Roll Up Doors. Thank you Vortex

They repair my garage door two weeks ago. They charge me. Almost $1500.00 for 2 hour work ,
When I called them for the service i asked them for the price but they said we cannot give you up front Estimate.
They are a scam .

I can't thank the team at Vortex enough. Mark came out and gave me a free estimate on my commercial door. It was a 3rd of the cost of 4 other door repair companies in the area. Within 2 business days it was fixed by two awesome techs. Jake T and Uriel were professional, quick and truly cared about what I had to spend and what I needed done. As a Superintendent for a commercial builder in Southern California area. I come in contact with many of the trades frequently, and can quickly size up a contractor by their work routine, and their communication skills. One of the subcontractors messed up the front door frame while maneuvering a man-lift through the opened door. Jake from Vortex accessed the physical damage, and noticed the door was losing hydraulic fluid that was coating top of door, and added a beefier opener with a door stop. Jake wasted no time installing the solution fix for our customers front door, and I also appreciated his professionalism through out the process. I added Vortex Doors to my contacts list.

As a business owner, I understand that despite our best intentions, things don't always go the way you might want them to. As a consumer, I realize that it is times like this that a company shows it's true colors.
My first interaction with Vortex left me feeling less than pleased with the outcome, and I told them as much when they emailed a satisfaction survey. I never really expected they would follow up.
But, follow up they did.
I got a phone call from Steve Wickens, asking if he could stop by my office and talk about my experience; the next day he was sitting in front of me, asking how to make it right.
We talked it over and in the end, Steve made it right.
I'm sure there was no profit left in the job for them, and considering I only have a small building with one door, I'm not likely to need them again anytime soon. Steve's only possible motivation was personal and professional integrity; traits that are pretty rare these days.
Thank you Steve, thank you Vortex, you have earned my respect, and you have earned this 5 star review. I would happily use your services again and recommend you to anyone.

Door jamb was broken, Jeff came and repaired frame and door. Very good service and fast

Vortex Doors was wonderful! We have had our gym front doors broken for some time, and we were desperate to get it finally fixed. DJ and Kevin arrived on time and were super friendly, upfront, and honest about everything. Since it was during business hours they would often have to stop to let our members in and out. They were respectful to our gym members and kept the noise down. After talking to them for some time, I asked if they could also check our back door (which wasn't in the original call). They agreed without any hesitation, checked it, and reported it fine.

Overall DJ and Kevin were in and out within 2 hours. They both had smiles on their faces the whole time and were simply wonderful to work with. We even discussed fitness and diets. If we need anyone else to fix our doors, not only will I call Vortex... but I am absolutely REQUESTING DJ and Kevin!

WOW! We called Vortex Irvine to help with an urgent situation. I reached an excellent and attentive receptionist who schedule a technician to arrive at our location within a very reasonable amount of time. Kevin came, assessed the problem, clearly provided a couple of options, and had us back in business instantly. Kevin was AWESOME and an extremely knowledgeable technician. His customer service skills are on point! Great experience all around! Thanks, Kevin!!

Had an issue with our front doors not closing properly so we gave Vortex a call. Dispatch team had a tech out within the hour to troubleshoot our door. Kevin looked at the door for a minute and already knew what the issue was. He gave us a few options and was very thorough and knowledgeable with our door system.
He proceeded to change the door closer for us and in well under 2 hours, he was able to complete the repair!
Thank you Kevin for being so helpful but most importantly, personable. You can have all the knowledge and skills to make the necessary repairs but without genuine kind service, the interaction will not be memorable. So, I thank you for making this particular job memorable!

Great customer service and great work! They saved us a lot of money compared to the price a previous vendor quoted us! Bob took time to troubleshoot and our gate is up and running again! Bob who came to our community is a great guy and is very knowledgeable. This will be our new gate service moving forward! Happy Customer!
