BoxingScene.com recently caught up with IBF super middleweight champion James "Chunky" Degale (22-1).  The soon to be 30-year-old is tentatively scheduled to return to the ring on April 9th against his mandatory challenger Jose Uzcategui.

DeGale was last in action in November of last year, when he traveled to Quebec City to win a tough twelve round decision over former beltholder Lucian Bute.

After his mandatory is out of the way, DeGale said that he would like to unify titles.  WBC champion Badou Jack is likely to make his next defense of the title against Mexican superstar Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in April - and DeGale is interested in the winner.

The British fighter instructed his adviser, Al Haymon, to get him in line for a unification in his next fight.

"I have my mandatory in April then I want the big boys. I want Badou Jack. I want Arthur Abraham. I want them all. (Jack-Chavez) is a good fight.  Badou probably wins but we will see. After my mandatory I want the big fights in America. I talked to Al Haymon and he knows I want those fights," DeGale told BoxingScene.com.

DeGale wrapped up our conversation with an assessment of the February 27th clash between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg.

"Quigg can fight. That is a massive fight back home, an entertaining fight. It is a big fight for you guys (in America) too. It is a 50-50 fight but I think Quigg will pull it out.'
