The Fish Lady

Every time we come to this establishment the owner is RUDE and her customer service is pathetic as if her customers are an inconvenience to her. When we come to the counter she doesn't even acknowledge us! I would not recommend! Her poultry is way over priced and her fish is mediocre! I would say the scallops are pretty much the only decent thing to buy. Other then that, if you want to be treated like a nobody and pay overwhelming prices this is the place to come!

The northern halibut was $26 a pound. The same thing at whole foods is $16 a pound. You know something is wrong when whole foods seems cheap.

sorry to say but -- if you have a problem or a question about the price or anything else here, do not make it known. The Fish Lady, Sharon, will wipe the floor with you as she did me when I complained about the price of a 2.3lb lobster. I am a very regular customer and have chosen to pay her high prices because of great product. Not anymore. Apparently, she has "banned " me from her store, screamed at me and hung up on me on the phone. I was wanting to discuss what happened when I picked up my lobster. I have brought her the $4 difference I owed her(so ridiculous) and will never go back.
I am sure that in this difficult climate we are all overstressed. However, all the more reason to be kind and civilized.

Not Wild Salmon. The lady is very sweet. Yes the salmon is delicious but she will deceive you by saying it is ocean salmon from British Columbia. I specifically asked if it was wild caught. I am highly allergic to the additives they put into farmed salmon. Trust me on this. The SALMON IS FARMED. Shame on you fish lady for your deceptiVe practices. You could have cost me my life.

if you want amazing fish tacos go to the Fish Lady. This guy cooks the best EVER! not cheap but who wants cheap? He will also cook any steak, burger or sausages you get there. Awesome!

The Fish Lady is a unique butcher shop that's been around for ages. They have fresh fish, shellfish, and meats of the highest quality as well as an awesome wine and beer selection. What I really like is their smoked salmon jerky and the beef jerky that are both smoked in house. They also cater to dogs so you can get smoked beef femurs full of tasty marrow, they keep my dog Toot's happy and occupied for hours!
I always stop by when I'm in the area to get Toot's a bone and if I cooked more often I would surely shop here for myself as well

This place us a hidden gem! The Fish Lady on Friday Nights is absolutely wonderful! Delicious wines, food and Live Music! If you havnt been here, you need to Come down!

My husband bought their homemade clam chowder last weekend... twice.... he said it was the best he's ever had. Sorry I don't like fish but I trust his judgment. He even bragged about it to his sisters. It must be true. Lol

We have found the Fish Lady to have the freshest fish at competitive prices, not cheap but good value. Additionally we buy as much prime meat as we do fish. Steaks, ribs, chicken and hamburger meat is fantastic. Also have ordered special meats and roasts for holidays. I like to use my barbecue and this is the place for good quality and special treatment. Shopping here regularly for several years and through COVID we have gotten to know the owners. This is the go to place in the Santa Cruz area.

The quality is decent, but the prices are pretty high when you consider the service. I used to work across the street and went in at least once a week. Several times I went in and the people working refused to acknowledge me for 5 to 10 minutes. More than once I got tired of waiting and just left even though I was ready to order, but no one would approach the counter to help me. Maybe I never figured out the culture their, but it was really frustrating and I'd rather just make the trip to Costco.
