British Geological Survey Says Magnetic Pole Shift May Be Forthcoming!!

According to the British Geological Survey the South Atlantic Anomaly....the area of the earth where the magnetic field is weakest, is spreading westward, and this may be a sign that a magnetic reversal is forthcoming.

The South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) is known to be growing in extent and spreading westwards from South Africa, as the Earth’s internal magnetic field rapidly weakens in this region. This may be early evidence of a forthcoming reversal in the direction of the Earth’s internal magnetic field.

You know, the rumour is March 15 is the day....just sayin' is all.

Do you think TPTB can really pinpoint an exact date for a poleshift?

There is lots of talk about this, but to actually pinpoint the date would be incredible.

Just stay vigilant and if they start planning their holidays around this time, then start to get concerned.

I will be on holiday from the 10th march for a month, from the UK, to the Caribbean........

I didn't say TPTB gave us the date...though who knows if they planted the info...it comes from fellow conspiracy theorists who say the Comet Elenin will instigate it. It will be closest to us that day and it's gravitational pull or magnetic field or something will trigger the reversal.

Hmmmm... do you think there is any truth what so ever, any hard evidence that might suggest something is going to happen on that date? Isn't a person going around America preaching the end is near, as in this month? Correct me if I'm wrong!

Also, bearing in mind what we said about 'excursions' above, and knowing what we do about the properties of mathematical models of the magnetic field, it is far from clear we can easily extrapolate to 1500 years hence.

We have no complete record of the history of any reversal, so any claims we can make are mostly on the basis of mathematical models of the field behaviour and partly on limited evidence from rocks that retain an imprint of the ancient magnetic field present when they were formed. For example, the mathematical simulations seem to suggest that a full reversal may take about one to several thousand years to complete. This is fast by geological standards but slow on a human time scale.

So in saying "early evidence of a forthcoming reversal" the BGS is not saying a reversal is imminent.

Well at least someone is coming out of the woodwork..

But..

We do not know in detail precisely what occurs during such reversals, including the changes observed in the magnetic field and the time a reversal takes to complete.

The wait begins.

Hi again, sorry... just had a thought... If all of the elite are going to hide away in there bunkers (Or some advanced facility) and take some people with them (those people being some one "important"... *Cough*) then don't you think it will spark some questions if it doesn't happen and people start to think... hold the phone? I thought it would not be at its closest till October 16th or around this date?

Can you provide a link please? Also, a comet as far away as Elenin can not cause a pole shift and to my knowledge I don't think any comet can do this.
This comet would have to be as big or bigger than the Moon to have a gravitational affect on Earth when it comes close!

There is no anomaly according to some but I believe the rhetoric and sympathize with you as they would not have sent the geological team at cost ,no matter .,the world is perfect (to some).Welcome to scholars corner.
