In recent days, WBO middleweight belt-holder Billy Joe Saunders (23-0, 12KOs), has made it explicitly clear that if WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin wants to face him next, that one of the conditions would be that he would have to travel over to the United Kingdom.

K2 Promotions proposal to Saunders and his promoter, Frank Warren, called for this match-up to take place at the Madison Square Garden in New York on April 23rd.

But would 'GGG' travel to face Saunders on his home turf?

"It depends on how the deal can be structured,"said Tom Loeffler, the managing director of K2 Promotions, to BoxingScene.com.

Loeffler then pointed out - "Gennady, out of all he world champions, he's the only one who doesn't care who he fights or where he fights. We wanted to bring the true definition of a world champion back."

Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) has been a well-traveled boxer throughout his career.

Loeffler pointed out,''Whether he fought in Panama, whether he fought in the Ukraine, when he fought in Monte Carlo, he fought in Germany before, obviously in New York and L.A., he doesn't care where he fights. The hardest part is not necessarily the location of the fight but getting people to agree to get in the ring with him."

Both parties will converse next week and further explore this fight. Loeffler says,"I never really believe in negotiating fights in the media and I've known Frank Warren for twenty years since we did the fight with Kevin Kelley and Naseem Hamed and we're just waiting to receive his response to our offer.

"We have respect for Billy Joe Saunders, he beat (Chris) Eubank Jr.  and Andy Lee and is now a world champion. It would be a great fight if we could put it together."
