InstagramLaverne Cox is living it up this winter with a much-needed and well-deserved break.
The Orange Is the New Black star posted a selfie earlier today from her warm weather getaway showing off her killer bod in a sexy one-piece swimsuit.
"This girl desperately needs a vacation," the 31-year-old wrote. "Earlier before I hit the pool. #TransIsBeautiful."
And while Cox certainly appears comfortable in her own skin—enough to pose in basically a bikini on social media—she told the U.K.'s Guardian in an interview earlier this year that that wasn't always the case.
"I have been picking myself apart my whole life," she explained.
"Years ago, I wanted really highly invasive surgical procedures to feminize my face. All these years later, I have the money to do it, but I don't want it. I don't want it! I'm happy that this is the face that God gave me, and it's imperfect."
Cox then recalled an instance where an Instagram commenter told her she should get a nose job.
"No, girl!" she said, noting she didn't post a reply. "My fans were like, that's the nose African Americans have, and what's wrong with that? My fans had my back. In those moments I have to look in the mirror and say, this is my black nose, and it's gorgeous."
