Sarah Michelle Gellar's Daughter Receives Jedi Training, Fights the Actress' Own Star Wars Rebels Character

The force is strong in little Charlotte Prinze.

Sarah Michelle Gellar visited Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., Monday and promptly enrolled her 6-year-old daughter in the theme park's Jedi Training Academy. The proud actress snapped an Instagram photo of her daughter embracing the light side in Tomorrowland. Prinze stood strong, even as Darth Vader watch her in battle from the nearby stage. "No biggie...just my #daughter in an epic #lightsaber battle with my character at #disneyland," wrote Gellar, who voices The Seventh Sister Inquisitor in Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels. "Dreams do come true #seventhsister #jediacademy #starwars #rebels."

During their visit, Gellar also posed for a picture with Mickey Mouse in ToonTown, where she blew him a kiss. "Oh Mickey you're so fine (I think I made him blush) #mickeymouse," the Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress wrote in the caption.

Before long, Gellar and Prinze can get their Star Wars fix in a much bigger way.

In addition to Star Tours, a number of other Star Wars attractions are already open as part of a special rollout known as Season of the Force. In January, Disneyland will permanently close a number of attractions to make room for its upcoming Star Wars-themed land, The Los Angeles Times reported Saturday. During construction on the 14-acre Star Wars area, six attractions will close temporarily: Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, Disneyland Railroad, Fantasmic!, Mark Twain Riverboat, Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island and Sailing Ship Columbia. Four attractions will close for good: Big Thunder Ranch, Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue, Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree and Big Thunder Ranch petting zoo.

Disney acquired Lucasfilm, and the Star Wars franchise, in 2012 for $4 billion. The first film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was released Dec. 18 and became the fastest film to reach $1 billion in ticket sales in 12 days, beating Universal Pictures' Jurassic World's previous 13-day feat. Star Wars: The Force Awakens also holds the record for most box office records, with 37 domestic-related records so far to date.
