Alleyne and Bando Combine for 61 Points In Oregon Ducks Win Over San Jose State

The Oregon Ducks Women are 6-0 on the season and are playing solid Defense. The Offense is leading the way with Jillian Alleyne, who notched her 22nd double double of the season. Lexi Bando also had a breakout night on Offense for the Ducks in a win over San Jose State.

It was just a matter of time before the Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team exploded on Offense. On Sunday night against San Jose State, Jillian Alleyne and Lexi Bando combined for 61 points on a rout 104-74 on the way to a 6-0 mark on the season for second year Head Coach Kelly Graves. Alleyne also had her 22nd consecutive double double breaking her own Pac-12 and Oregon record. She had 26 points to go with 20 rebounds on the night.

Lexi Bando was a story all by herself hitting 6 of 7 shots from beyond the arc and shooting better than 70 percent on the night. She had 35 points on the night for the Oregon Ducks. Offensively, the Ducks shot the lights out at Matthew Knight Arena hitting over 61 percent from the floor on the night against San Jose State. Four players scored in double figures. Bando and Alleyne along with Liz Brenner who had 11, Lexi Petersen had 12.

The Oregon Ducks had 56 points on the night inside the paint and broke out to a big lead in the 1st Quarter and never looked back. After the 1st, it was 28-14. The Ducks Defense was also solid. Oregon scored 20 points off 11 San Jose State turnovers. The home team also had 4 blocks and 8 steals.

Oregon now has four days to prepare for Utah Valley. Tipoff is set for Saturday at 2pm Pacific Time.
