Oregon Ducks Face Undefeated Fresno State, Bulldogs Marvelle Harris One To Watch

The undefeated Oregon Ducks Men’s Basketball team welcome Fresno State to Matthew Knight Arena on Monday night. Both teams are 5-0 on the season. It will be the final home game over the next few weeks as Oregon hits the road to put their record to the test.

The Oregon Ducks host 5-0 Fresno  State on Monday night at Matthew Knight Arena and Head Coach Dana Altman has again assembled a squad that can spread the ball around and also play Defense. The Defense, in part, is due to one player in particular, Chris Boucher, who was close to a triple double last week against Arkansas State. He had 17 points to go with 9 rebounds and 9 blocked shots. Now, the 21st ranked Oregon Ducks welcome in an undefeated Fresno State team looking to pull off an upset.

Last Time Out:

  • Team Chemistry early has been a big strong point for the Oregon Ducks on both sides of the ball.Dwayne Benjamin was 10 for 17 from the floor.
  • Elgin Cook found a way to contribute without his shots turning into points. He added four rebounds, four assists and four rebounds.
  • Dylan Brooks also struggled on the night, but had six assists and eight rebounds against Arkansas State.

Fresno State comes into the game with a player that is Joseph Young good. Marvelle Harris is averaging better than 20 points per game and has the Bulldogs off to their best start in nine years. The Ducks have been on fire hitting close to 79 points per game and giving up just 62 points per contest. The Oregon Defense has held teams to under 40 percent shooting from the floor so far this season, including a Baylor team two weeks ago that was expected to be one of the better teams this season.

On the Defensive End, Chris Boucher leads the nation in blocked shots and has been stellar on Defense this season. The Oregon Ducks will look to get to 6-0 on the season on Monday night. Tipoff is set for 5pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network. This will be the final home game over the next few weeks as Dana Altman and the Ducks hit the road to face Nevada-Las Vegas, Navy in Honolulu and an upstart Boise State team on the road.
