The Oregon Ducks are returning to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth consecutive time and will have to win their way to Omaha, the site of the National Championship, on the road. On Sunday night, the Tournament field was announced and six Pac-12 teams made the Volleyball post season including top ranked USC, UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona, Stanford and Oregon. The Ducks do have the advantage of coming in with a winning streak.

In the first round they will take on the Wisconsin Badgers out of the Big Ten. The Badgers are the number six overall seed and enter the game with the Ducks at 24-6 for the regular season. While Oregon has won six of their final nine matches, Wisconsin enters on a twelve game match winning streak. It is games like these that Oregon prepared for in the non-conference slate facing Nebraska and Florida. Ultimately they lost to both, but showed grit and fight in both games, again on the road.

Martenne Bettendorf fueled the win over Oregon State to close out the regular season and she will see her final NCAA Tournament as an Oregon player. She will have to step up along with Freshman Lindsey Vander Weide for Oregon to have a chance on the road in Madison.

"They’ve got some really talented players there. I haven’t spent a lot of time watching them. They traditionally play a little different style than a lot of teams — give you a lot of different looks. I’m sure that’s going to be the same thing. We don’t know a whole lot about them. We’ll get started on that soon.Wisconsin Coach Kelly Scheffeild (via the Wisconsin State Journal)"
