Best of the college football recruiting visits: Pac-12

It was a wild season in the Pac-12, so why should the regular season's final weekend be any different? Recruits all over the conference were treated to a shootout Oregon win in the Civil War, a momentum-shifting win in Los Angeles, a furious comeback in Berkeley and a game-winning kick in Palo Alto that likely shaped the College Football Playoff. Here is a look at the sights and sounds of those games through the eyes of recruits on social media:

The weekend started off with a bang for Stanford, as the Cardinal collected a commitment from ESPN Junior 300 prospect Sione Heimuli-Lund, a top-10 inside linebacker nationally and part of a tremendous group of Utah prospects in the 2017 class. Heimuli-Lund announced his commitment while on an unofficial visit to Stanford.

The Cardinal then finished off a win against Notre Dame, potentially knocking the Fighting Irish out of a place in the College Football Playoff. ESPN 300 cornerback and Cardinal commit Treyjohn Butler was one of several commits in attendance and gave a glimpse at the game-winning kick.

Stanford quarterback commit K.J. Costello, the nation's No. 1 quarterback, was in Palo Alto as well, and captured some of the postgame scene.

In Los Angeles, USC wide receiver commit Josh Imatorbhebhe spent the week with the Trojans and his older brother Daniel, a tight end at USC sitting out the season after transferring from Florida. It was a big week for Imatorbhebhe, as he signed his financial agreement papers with USC, signifying his intent to enroll early with the Trojans. Imatorbhebhe also seemed to enjoy the outcome of the game, as USC wrestled the victory bell back from UCLA.

Another prospect who soaked in the outcome of the crosstown rivalry was USC offensive line commit Frank Martin.

Cal's victory against Arizona State wasn't exactly a rivalry win, but it was one of the more thrilling games of the entire Pac-12 season. The Golden Bears had several recruits on hand, including ESPN JC 50 cornerback Devron Davis, who is looking at both Cal and Arizona State.

And sticking with the junior college theme, Oregon grabbed a commitment from junior college linebacker A.J. Hotchkins while on an official visit. Hotchkins is originally from Oregon and was recruited by Montana and Wyoming out of high school. But Hotchkins turned himself into a potential impact junior college defender -- and the nation's No. 2 juco inside linebacker -- at Riverside (Calif.) Community College and will now have a chance to play for the hometown Ducks.
