When the Oregon Ducks began the 2015 season there were high hopes and a return to the National Championship, but that quickly changed with a 3 point loss to Michigan State on the road and a finger injury to Quarterback Vernon Adams. It took a few weeks for the finger to heal, and the Oregon Ducks became the road team to beat in the Pac-12 Conference. They have now reeled off seven straight wins entering the final game of the season, the Civil War against in state rival Oregon State. Along the way, Johnny Mundt has helped his team on the field and although he has not seen the field as much as he would like this year, he has still been productive.

Tight End Johnny Mundt started out the season with 4 receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown in the month of September, but has not been on the field much since. On a team where it is ‘next man up’, Mundt is behind starter Evan Bayliss for playing time. Mundt has shown he can play after a breakout year in 2014 which included 13 of 15 starts. In 2013 he became an early household name with 5 receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns against Tennessee at Autzen Stadium. Mundt will have another season with the Oregon Ducks and is finishing his Junior season.
