The Oregon Ducks Women’s Volleyball team is making a final push to close out the regular season for a chance at making the NCAA Tournament. It has been an up and down year for a team that has not missed the post season in Head Coach Jim Moore’s time at Matthew Knight Arena. On Wednesday night, it pretty much a do or die match and the home team came up with a big win over Arizona State.

It was a three game sweep of the Sun Devils that saw the Oregon Ducks give up the lead just one time. Kacy Nady and Martenne Bettendorf had the Ducks off to a solid first set building a 15-8 lead that Arizona State would not come back from. The second set saw Senior Martenne Bettendorf with nine kills to begin the set and again Oregon was dominant. Setter Maggie Scott and Bettendorf had a head on collision, but both remained in the game. Kacy Nady had the final kill of the game, her tenth on the night from the middle to boost Oregon to 15-13 and 9-10 in the Pac-12 Conference.

The win was important, but more important was the RPI boost for the Oregon Ducks. According to GoDucks.com, Oregon is sitting on an RPI of 53, beating an Arizona State team at an RPI of 33 and winning the season finale against Oregon State could be enough to get Moore and Oregon back to the NCAA Tournament.
