Jesus Navas wants former club Sevilla to help Man City in Champions League

Jesus Navas wants his former club Sevilla to help Manchester City top Group D by beating Juventus in the final round of Champions League matches.

Jesus Navas has called on his former club Sevilla to help Manchester City top Group D in the Champions League.

City have already qualified for the last 16, but they hampered their chances of becoming group winners when they lost 1-0 to Juventus in Turin on Wednesday.

In order to top the group, City need to beat Borussia Monchengladbach in their final match and Sevilla must defeat Juve on the same night.

"It is a very difficult game that Juventus must play away, as Sevilla need to win that game if they want to continue in the Europa League," PA quotes Navas as saying.

"So, it is one game more and the group is not finished. I hope that Sevilla will win this game and we beat Borussia to finish at the top of the group. I hope our team will continue and have a little bit more luck in the round of 16."

City are currently two points below Juventus in the table.
