Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball Win Fourth Straight vs Clemson

The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team had another impressive performance on Tuesday night against a 1-3 Clemson Tigers team. Jillian Alleyne netted another double double on the season and Lexi Petersen had a season high 20 points for the Oregon Ducks. In the first quarter, Oregon showed how they can move the ball around and everyone is a threat. 16 of the 20 points in the first frame were scored by Alleyne and Lexi Bando. From that point, Oregon never looked back.

Oregon had three starters in double figures. Petersen, Alleyne(18) and Bando(13). For the first half the Oregon Ducks shot 40 percent and hit 63 percent from the floor in the second half. Kat Cooper helped the home team put together a 14-2 run in the second quarter. The Ducks had 16 turnovers in the game, which is high, but Clemson had more at 18 and Oregon took advantage putting up 18 points off turnovers from Clemson on the night.

Jillian Alleyne is nearing another record with her 20th consecutive double double and can tie her own record that she set her Freshman and Junior seasons on Saturday when Oregon hosts North Dakota according to GoDucks.com. Alleyne had  18 points and 12 rebounds against Clemson. The Oregon Ducks also had 8 steals and 7 blocks in the game and are proving early to be a force not only on the Offensive end, but also the Defensive end of the court.
