A man shot and killed in Marina del Rey was identified Monday as a 27-year-old Los Angeles resident, coroner’s officials said.
Christopher Thomas Rothschild Cleveland died about 3:40 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Washington Boulevard, coroner’s officials and deputies said.
Deputies responding to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon found Cleveland suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles Superior Court records showed Cleveland had had several run-ins with the law since 2007. He was convicted of reckless driving in 2007 and 2012, driving without a license in 2012, vandalism in 2007 and spousal abuse in 2009.
He most recently was arrested by the Sheriff’s Department on July 15 and was released from custody on Aug. 21. The charges on that misdemeanor case were not available.
