ONTARIO >> A toddler is recovering Sunday night after he fell from a second-story window to the ground below.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m., police were called to a grocery store near the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Philadelphia Street.
There they found a woman and her 1-year-old son in a car as she was driving the boy to the hospital, Lt. Dave McBride said.
Apparently, the boy leaned against a window of the second-story apartment in the 900 block of South Mountain when the screen gave way, sending the boy to the ground, McBride said.
The boy’s mother was taking him to the hospital when she decided to stop and call 911, he said.
The boy suffered no- life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
