      I am only giving this store a one star review because zero stars are not an option. I should have looked on here before making an appointment with this store because it seems like the reviews are all the same...I am surprised this store is still open- HORRENDOUS!!!

      I had an 11:30am appointment to get dresses for my bridesmaids, the store was over-booked with appointments and I was waiting there 20 minutes before the receptionist in the front was even able to check me in.

      Our "sales person" Kenika I think was her name and I put that in quotes because she was not a sales person at all- horrible etiquette and knew nothing about the dresses. Anyway we went in there with a good idea of the dress we wanted. However from the pictures in the store the style dress came with 2 styles, one with a slit on the leg and the other without. I made it very clear to her that we wanted the dress WITHOUT the slit otherwise we wouldn't want the dress. She assures me that she will place the correct order.

      Then when we are getting ready to order the dresses she asks all my bridesmaids what size they want to order the dress in. I interrupt and say "won't you be measuring them and telling them what size to order." She says "oh" and gets a tape measure. She comes back and she asks if everyone is getting measured. I was almost at my breaking point with this woman. She obviously couldn't even measure properly because she had to remeasure all of them 3 times.

      Three hours later after we have left the store, Kenika calls me and says that they don't sell the dress without the slit, mind you all of my bridesmaids live an hour away. Needless to say at this point I am beyond frustrated, we had to go back to the store to get a refund.

      YES I did speak to the manager Janet and while she was professional she admitted that her sales person was new to the store. Well that is apparent, I don't understand how a company like this could have such inexperienced employees helping brides in what would be the most important day of their lives.

      Do not go to this store- it is just a waste of time. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

      I would never step foot in a David's Bridal again, this company is not getting my money or anyone of my friends. I will be sharing my experience with a bunch of my friends that are currently getting married and were planning on visiting Davids Bridal.

      I went into my bridal appointment kind of nervous and not knowing what to expect. I will say that not only was I beyond impressed, I would recommend David's to anyone and everyone. Danielle was my bridal appointment stylist and she was AMAZING. She pulled some great dresses and was a doll. Didn't push me and just was so helpful. Marie assisted with Bridesmaid appointment and she helped with my somewhat confusing vision and helped me narrow down the colors and vibe. For a mismatch style, it was not easy so she really helped out so much. I did not pick a dress yet but I will be using them for bridesmaids and I still dream about my dress so I am sure I will be back.

      I went into the freehold office for my first visit, I was coming from Staten Island and I left my house almost 2 hours before my appointment and I got stuck in a lot of traffic. I didn't call the store and let them know I was going to be late. My the First Lady i worked with tells me you can only
      Pick five dresses and we pull them, which was fine but I felt like my appointment was rushed even though I was told that I would still get my hour appointment. So I decided I was going to come back with my bridesmaids, my second appointment was by far so much better, the Second Lady let me take my time and pick my dresses and my bridesmaids dresses. I have to go back for my alternations and after reading some of the reviews I'm a little nervous about it.

      Went in with my daughter to look for a white dress for her engagement party. Was greeted and told what was what in the store. We looked around and took 5 items to the dressing room. The greeter saw us go into the dressing room, confirmed what we were shopping for. One dress was too small, so I went to see if there was a bigger size. While I looked, another salesperson came to me and very sternly told me that I was not allowed to get dresses myself and would have to wait until she was done with a bride and then would help us. She talked to me like I was a child going through her personal closet. Not at all necessary. She could have spoken to me in a friendly manner and explained the way things work. No one told us we had to have someone pull dresses, even when we were seen entering the dressing room. We left and will not be going back.

      first wedding dress experience and I went in totally blind. Elaine was such a helpful staff member. Being that I did not give a lot of direction, she figured out my style, fit, and overall vibe of what I was looking for and picked some amazing dresses for me. If they had my dress in stock I would've been going home with one! such a great first experience. thank you Elaine!

      Decent service if you come to the store in person. But even then, I would recommend choosing a different place. If you do plan to choose this place and have any type of phone inquires/help about your order, good luck!
      I called several times to get the status of my dress and either the people are not taught how to do basics (like looking up an order) or there is just that much turn over in the business, I had so much difficulty!
      Every time I called there was some issue.
      I heard more "I can't...we can't...etc."rather than, "I will figure out....I will ask my manager...etc."
      Never will I ever recommend coming here for anyone!
      Please save yourself some stress and go find another place to purchase your dress for that special occasion!
      This place seriously needs some type of personnel revamping of some sorts to make sure it can run more customer friendly!

      Originally I had plans to buy my wedding dress on one of the online websites that are cheaper but I did want to have that dress shopping experience with my mom and figured it would at least give me some ideas on what kind of style I would like because I was still torn between a more plain laid-back look and the princess style dresses. Unfortunately due to COVID I was limited to only two people to bring with me but I do feel like two people was a good number, I brought my mom and future mother-in-law. We went on a weekday afternoon and it was thankfully not very busy at all. Christine helped us with our appointment bringing dresses for me to try on and helping to adjust the fit and offer guidance, she was great and very patient even when my indecisiveness made us go over our appointment time. Unfortunately most of the dresses I had picked out on the website were not available in the store so I had to pick out all new dresses while we were there, which was a bit of a bummer.

      Everyone told me they ended up buying the first dress they tried on. I ended up loving the first dress I tried on and not really liking any of the rest at all until we were about to leave and I saw one dress on clearance in my size that looked nice. I tried it on and loved that one too, and ultimately ended up going with that one. Ultimately the price was fair for a wedding dress and I got so many compliments at the wedding saying how the dress was so "me" and that they loved it which was so nice to hear. I also loved the veil the sales associate picked out for me but at $200 it cost almost as much as my dress! I ended up picking out a nice one on Amazon that I didn't love as much but was only $30. Our service was so nice and making an appointment was very easy at this location and their selection was pretty big, the only reason I'll deduct a star is because after I had bought my dress I went into another David's Bridal location and I felt that they had a lot more dresses on display that seemed to be in my style and a larger selection of styles than what I saw at the Freehold location. Who knows if I would have preferred a different dress over the one I did get? But now that the wedding has come and gone I am no longer experiencing dress-FOMO since like I said I got so many compliments on the one I did pick out.

      I purchased a few pairs of shoes on line to try on and keep the pairs that suit my needs. I called the store to ask if I could make my returns at the store and the lady, I believe her name is Sasa told me I could either return it at the store or by mail. So I chose to go to the store which is 10 miles from my house. When I arrived she took my order number and then told me that she cannot process the return because I had more things coming. I was stunned and could not believe what I was hearing. I understand and respect policy but I cannot come to terms with lack of knowledge, communication and professionalism. This was my first and last time I will be giving business to this store. As for policy... They might or might not charge a restocking fee for returns? Wow!! How are you to buy something if it's not in the store for you to try on? Horrible

      I literally created another email to leave this review on google since I already had a terrible experience with this company in the past - should of learned my lesson and not have given them another chance. Recently I made a purchase in store (but it was online since they did not have the dress instore), it was a potential dress for my Bach party. I said if I change my mind, will I have issues returning? I got a simple "no". Well if only my situation was as simple as that.. I placed that dress order on May 17th. They got the dress in on May 30th. I called the store and said that my fiancé will be in the area, if I give him my card and receipt can he just return the dress for me? They said "no sorry, you can only get store credit. You are only allowed to return in-store purchases within 7 days of purchasing the item". I explained to the girl that I did not walk away with the dress in hand on the 17th, that it was ordered online through the store - how could I return a dress within 7 days if I didn't even have it to see if I liked it or etc? She said sorry its store policy. I immediately called corporate and they took my complaint down but I have yet to hear from them. David's Bridal is TERRIBLE to work with. I don't know who created that policy but do they understand that it does not make sense??? How do you know you are going to like the item or want to keep it without seeing it?? No one told me when purchasing this, that this can be a potential issue and that regardless I would be stuck with the dress. MAKES ZERO SENSE. I even tried when I was in the store to order the dress on my phone and the lady behind the register stopped me bc she said that she has a coupon & if I order through the store I can get it cheaper. (Nothing about how I cant return it once it's delivered to me though??--what a scam)
      This store is a joke. If I just continued to order the dress by myself on my phone like I was originally doing I apparently would not have this problem. Bc any online purchases NOT MADE IN STORE - do not have this issue. You have 7 days from when its delivered to return--something that makes more sense. I feel like this is a disgusting policy that they love to catch people have a losing situation in. This company is terrible to deal with, truly terrible. I have so many friends getting married right now and I could not talk their ear off enough to tell them to go to any other place but David's Bridal. It doesn't take much convincing bc they themselves had their own horror stories about this company. You would think in a world that we are in today, with brides having to deal with Covid and other things ruining their plans, that a store that is supposed to help with "happy moments & times" that they would have great customer service and try to help. That seems to be the last thing on these people's minds.
      I had my fiancé pick up the dress this past Monday so it doesn't get put under the "did not pick up list" and they get to keep it. When he went to pick it up, they never asked for his name or proof of purchase- he was able to just walk in the store and get the the dress - wild that they even allowed that with no proof! Yet you cant return an order that was purchased in store when the associates did not even give the full details of the purchase. This is disgusting and I just want my money back. Store credit does nothing for the experience I keep having with this place. I don't want to purchase or ever step in your store again, why would I want store credit?? You let people purchase items under false pretenses and then hide behind "sorry its store policy" --that's disgusting. Corporate please see this and please get back to me ASAP. I'm tired of dealing with a company that lies to their customers. Future brides or really anyone looking into using David's Bridal - DON'T - they will rip you off, scam you and lie to you. Not worth "saving the money". You will truly save yourself if you don't use this terrible company.

      Update I received an email from corporate - specifically Steven and his response was truly a joke. They are standing behind their policy that their employee did not make the customer aware of so they sold me a dress under false pretenses and they don't care. They do not care that their employee lied, they do not care to handle the situation correctly, and they truly just do not care at all. It's disgusting and after this experience I honestly am not surprised of the rumors of bankruptcy and this company going out of business. We really would be better off if this company did go out of business, they don't take the time to train their employees, their customer service is disgusting, and they do not care to make their wrong situations, right.
